This year's gathering will include a track on ideas, issues and strategies relating to creating a bio regional economy and culture. Update, May 8: Likely presentations and panels will inlcude Food Preservation and Storage, Solar Greenhouses, Winter Gardening in Eugene, Appropriate Technology, Intro to Permaculture [both large and small properties], Tour of River Road Neighborhood Perma Sites, Permaculture Principles, Social Forestry, Food as Medicine, Permaculture Kids, Edible Berries, Eco Villages, and more Exciting!! There will be a "Green Paper/Permatopia" Track These topics will describe some of the attributes of a far more localized/bio regional economy and way of life. Global trends are making a clear statement>>downsize and localize. This track will cover local food security, habitat and local culture, transportation and urban redesign, local energy production, economic conversion, reaching out with a bio regional vision and more! Most panels and presentations not specifically on the Green Paper track are very relevent to downsizing and localizing.
Please check back for updates. If you have ideas, suggestions or would like to help with the event, contact Jan or Ravi, see adresses above.
