Media Outlets for Press Releases

TIPS:
  1. Make sure you have a well written press release (see press release information)
  2. Call the station and tell them what you are wanting to do, find out who is the right person to send your press release to, usually it's someone in the Newsroom.  Send your press releases by FAX and by snail mail to television stations and follow up with a phone call if you really want to make sure your event is publicized.  Everyone thinks their event is special so if you want coverage you will have to follow up on it.
